GUESS WHO'S HOME?!?
Our Lass is!
Laura has been home a little over two weeks to rest and recuperate. Harvey has been able to visit, which is the best medicine any girl could ask for. The generosity of family, friends and complete strangers continues to humble, and the Go Fund Me page donations are being applied to Laura's rehab, as unfortunately there is such a long wait for community physios, and a private physio is now visiting Laura at home. Physiotherapy will play an integral part in getting Laura walking again. A new blog post will be coming soon and in Laura's own words. Please give the Go Fund Me page a share. Thank you, you are all amazing xxx
Walking for Warbz
Go Fund Me Fundraiser by Rebecca Warburton
"Laura was involved in a life changing accident resulting in many severe injuries, some of these include; a broken left femur, shattered right wrist, broken right hip, cracks in the neck and the bottom of her skull. She has now undergone 3 separate major surgeries for her injuries which has taken approximately 20 hours. Laura has currently got around 70 staples/clips and a number of stitches and will remain in hospital for some time. Unfortunately Laura is immobile and will have to learn to walk again, therefore we need your help and support.
Our plan is to raise as much money as possible in order to support Laura and her immediate family during this tough time. Whether this is covering financial losses, travel and accommodation expenses, assistance with the day to day mobility for Laura or maintenance of her pride and joy Harvey (in the photograph) who has spent 12 years with Laura.
Anything you can contribute no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated and help Laura getting on the road to recovery."
The response to Rebecca's fundraiser is quite overwhelming. A massive thank you to Nikki Moxon Equestrian who is running a fab raffle to win £100's worth of vouchers to spend on her website (lots of horse and rider related gorgeousness - boots, matchy matchy and more! Thank you also to Debbie Hillary and Ann Matthews who are running a Dressage Test Riding Clinic at Hood Hill & Barley Hall Equestrian - all proceeds from this clinic will be donated to Laura's fund.
On behalf of Rebecca (Laura's sister), her partner Shane, the Warburton family and, of course, Laura's beloved Harvey and dogs Frank & Muggley a massive thank you for your generosity. These donations will really help 'our lass'. If you would like to send Laura get well wishes please drop us an email, she would love to hear from everyone. Thank you doesn't sound enough but believe me it is VERY heartfelt
