I can hardly believe I am writing this. A mere 8 months ago, almost to the date, I was laid in a hospital bed....today...I competed my pony in our 2nd EVER Elementary Dressage test.
So I wanted to compete by the end of this year. ..but 3/4 weeks in I didn't think it was going to be possible...I was aching more than ever.
I have worked so hard with hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and even the circuit class at the gym led by the physios.
Technically we came last (3 in the class!) but I'm not telling Harvey that because we might as well have just won the Olympic gold medal!!!!
Just 1% difference between 1st 2nd and 3rd place! We scored 64%💜
He was so fired up and excited in the warm up he jumped over a pile of poo and strutted his way around. Into the arena and we nearly ended up cantering down the centre line to finish.
Trust me to pick a bloody hard elementary test!!
I've been asked so many times this week if I was doing a prelim or a novice ..easing my way back in. Big fat NO👊.
Go big or go home !!!
What was lovely when I did my final halt I could hear someone screaming from the bushes 😂😂😂Sam!. When I left the arena someone said "welcome back "💔💖
